Vendo 39

One
of the Most common and most remembered of all the antique classic
Coke Machines is the Vendo 39. This model is like an American Icon.
Vendo made 80,000 of these for the Coca-Cola Company. Just like the
Chevy Bel Air changed body styles, so did the Vendo 39. I have
attached photos showing the evolution of the Vendo 39. You can see
the early versions were all red paint with an embossed rib running
down the coin door onto the front door of the machine. The early
version also had the embossed words ICE COLD stamped at the bottom.
Some of our customers prefer the early version restored with a
two-toned paint theme, also shown in our photos. The early version
had a stamped stainless steel coin entry plate, where the later
version had a chromed coin entry casting.
The later version also
had some body changes, the rib disappeared as did the embossed words
ICE COLD on the bottom,... notice the word vendo in its place. The
design of the refrigeration system also changed as did the bottle
drum itself. The newer version of drum allowed the owner to load the
bottles with the cap facing the back of the machine, this allows the
Vendo 39s to vend "King Size" Coke bottles. Today, the
Coca-Cola Company seems to be ever changing the design and dimensions
of the classic Coke bottles. WE PROFESSIONALLY RESTORE THE VENDO 39s.
Make sure to see our restoration process link on our web page for
details.
The
dimensions of the machine itself are: 58" X 27" X 16"
and the weight is around 200 lbs.
